Resources

When it comes to obtaining services for your child with special needs or challenges you should always look for free resources that are provided by the Federal Government or your States Department of Education.

The people who work at these organizations are often parents who have navigated the system and all resources are free. Keep in mind that these resources are funded through grants by the federal government or local and state agencies, so even though there is a wealth of knowledge, there are limitations on what they can and cannot do. Before hiring a professional advocate, you should always reach out to some of the agencies listed below to see if they are a better fit for you and your child.
